Maple Valley Days
Every June, Maple Valley fills Lake Wilderness Park with a parade, a carnival, and more than a hundred vendor and food booths. Here is what to know before you go.
Maple Valley Days is a big weekend for our family. We walk in the parade with John L. Scott and host at the John L. Scott booth. The kids love the rides. Come say hi if you see us.

What is Maple Valley Days?
Maple Valley Days is Maple Valley's annual community festival. It started in 1950, when residents gathered to raise money for the area's fire engine, and it has been a town tradition ever since.
When is Maple Valley Days?
Maple Valley Days is held the second weekend in June. In recent years it has run Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Check the official Maple Valley Days website for this year's dates and hours.
Where is Maple Valley Days held?
The festival has been held at Lake Wilderness Park, 22500 SE 248th Street in Maple Valley, since 1998. The City of Maple Valley bought the park in 2003, which is why the event is known as the festival in the park.
What is there to do at Maple Valley Days?
The weekend includes a parade, carnival rides and games, live music, an arts festival, and more than 120 vendor and food booths. Recent years have also included a classic car and hot rod show and a Biggest Maple Leaf contest for kids.
Is Maple Valley Days good for kids?
Yes. The carnival rides are the main event for most kids, and the parade, kids' activities, and lakeside park make it an easy day out. Admission has been free in recent years, with ride tickets or wristbands sold separately.
Where do you park for Maple Valley Days?
Parking near Lake Wilderness Park fills up fast. In recent years the festival has run free shuttles from Rock Creek Elementary, with paid parking at the park itself. Check the official site for this year's shuttle and parking details.
Dates, hours, prices, and events change from year to year. For the current schedule, see the official Maple Valley Days website.

Thinking about a move to Maple Valley?
Maple Valley is where Jody Guerra lives. It feels close to nature, with elk, bear, and deer sightings, yet Renton, Kent, and Bellevue are all about a 30-minute drive away, traffic permitting. Jody helps buyers and sellers here, in English or Spanish.
