Covington Days
Every July, Covington closes a stretch of Kent-Kangley Road for a parade and spends the weekend outside together. Here is what to know before you go.
Our family goes every year. We walk in the parade with John L. Scott, then head over to the festival. We love talking with the local artists, vendors, and businesses. The bouncy houses are always a hit with the kids.

What is Covington Days?
Covington Days is the City of Covington's annual summer festival. It is an official Seafair-sanctioned event and has been a community tradition since 1986.
When is Covington Days?
Covington Days is held every year on the third weekend in July, Saturday and Sunday. Check the City of Covington's festival page for this year's exact dates and hours.
Where is Covington Days held?
The festival grounds are in central Covington, around 169th Place SE and SE 270th Place near Kent-Kangley Road. The Saturday parade travels along Kent-Kangley Road and finishes at the festival grounds.
What is there to do at Covington Days?
The weekend starts with a parade on Saturday morning. Both days include live music, arts and crafts vendors, kids' inflatables, and family activities. Past years have featured a watermelon eating contest and a City Council ice cream or popsicle giveaway.
Is Covington Days good for kids?
Yes. The festival is built around the community, with a kids' zone of inflatables and bounce houses, a parade, and plenty of space to walk around.
Dates, hours, and events change from year to year. For the current schedule, see the City of Covington's Covington Days page.

Thinking about a move to Covington?
Covington has established neighborhoods, easy access to Kent, Maple Valley, and Auburn, and a community that still turns out for a summer parade. Jody Guerra helps buyers and sellers here, in English or Spanish.
